Overview

Application Process

  1. Check if you need a visa or an eTA on the official IRCC website.
  2. Create an online account (IRCC portal) and complete the visitor visa application.
  3. Upload all required documents and pay the processing fee and biometrics fee (if applicable).
  4. Give your biometrics at a designated VAC when instructed.
  5. Wait for a decision; you may be asked for additional documents or an interview.
  6. If approved, you will receive a visa counterfoil in your passport or an eTA linked to your passport.
